Guidelines
2.3 Adjustable sensitivity/error
tolerance
Properties for the keyboard and other input devices should be adjustable. Examples
from Microsoft Windows for the mouse and keyboard are:
- Keyboard: repetition delay, repetition speed, marker blinking,
slow keys, filter keys, switch keys,...
- Mouse: button configuration (left/right handed), speed of double
clicking, speed of mouse pointer movement, acceleration, use of mouse keys,
...
It is an advantage if software uses the standard settings in the operative
system and/or contains possibilities for adjusting the input devices.
Choices should be saved (see 5.3 Setting should be saved).
