MediaLT has established a new training course for visually impaired: Practical ICT skills for education and employement. Our first candidate, Marcellus Mbakop has completed the training during the summer.

The course is a result of a project to define, develop and test a complete IKT skills package, which will equip visually impaired job seekers to meet the demands of a job placement.

Interesting job seeker

Before taking this course Marcellus was familiar with smart phone technology to communicate. Now the PC has also become an important tool in his search for work. He says that he has acquired important skills  for the job market.

Practical approach

Marcellus has gained much from the practical approach used in the training which has provided him twith he appropriate skills to start an evening study course in accounts and legal office work.

Easier to get a job and to keep it

In the project we have developed:

  •     An evaluation tool
  •     A syllabus
  •     Teaching materials and study plan
  •     A test

The course is presently being tested with another candidate and is now available for everyone.
Please contact us if you are interested. Adequate ICT skills will make it much easier for you to obtain employment and to keep it.
