Is equipment that can be read and/or controlled by cell phones universally designed?
Story by: Morten Tollefsen - 25.04.2016
A small pilot project on appcessories in 2015 showed large variation in accessibility and usability for the disabled. MediaLT is now testing universal design of standard equipment to influence manufacturers to create universally designed hardware and software.
Siemens, Withings, Apple store, NAV (Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration) and the Norwegian Delta centre are participating in the project.
