Excel Page Layout settings

Use the Page Layout ribbon (Alt+P) to choose these settings.

Page Break

Place the cursor under or to the right of where the break should occur. Press Alt+P, B. Choose Insert or Remove Page break from the menu.

Margins

Press Alt+P, M, and then A to choose custom margins. Opens Page Setup dialog box (similar to 2003), Margins tab. Type in top, bottom, left, right margin values etc. and press Enter.

Orientation

Press Alt+P, O and choose Portrait (standard) or Landscape to increase page width.

Scale to fit

Press Alt+P, SP. Opens Page Setup dialog box, Page tab.
Tab to Adjust to:
arrow down to Fit to: type in number of pages wide, tab to tall and type number of pages tall (standard values are 1, i.e. everything on same page).

Gridlines, headings

To print gridlines and / or headings choose:

  • alt+P, PG - gridlines
  • alt+P, PH - headings
