Formatting page background and WordArt

Page background

You will find the controls for watermark, background colour and page border on the Page Layout ribbon.

Watermark:

Press Alt+P, PW to open the gallery for Watermarks. Choose the desired watermark using the arrow keys and press Space to activate.
To remove the watermark press Alt+P, PW, R.

Background colour:

Press Alt+P, PC to  open the palette for background colours.
Choose the desired colour using the arrow keys and press Space.
To remove the background colour press Alt+P, PC, N (no colour).

Page border:

Press A lt+P, PB. This control opens the Borders and Shadings dialog box, Page borders tab. Choose the desired properties for the border and press OK.
To remove the border press Alt+P, PB, N (None) and press Enter.

Set the option for printing background

To print the background you will need to go to Word Options, Alt+F, I. Choose the display category and tab to Print background colours and images and press Space to check this box.

WordArt

The WordArt control is found on the Insert ribbon. Press Alt+N,  W to open the WordArt gallery. Choose the desired WordArt type using the arrow keys and press Space. Write the text and tab to OK. The WordArt element is now inserted in the document and is selected

A new ribbon is displayed, the WordArt Format ribbon. Here you will find controls to change the text colour, background colour, size, 3D-effect etc.
